Witnessed Farwell Cremation
Direct cremation is a simple and dignified alternative to a traditional funeral, offering a respectful farewell without a formal ceremony. It includes the collection of your loved one, cremation at a local crematorium, and the hand delivery of their ashes back to you.
At The Cheshire Cremation Company, we look after every detail with professionalism, compassion, and care. Our service includes:
• 24 hour collection from hospital, home, or care facility
• A simple and respectful eco friendly coffin made from strong reinforced cardboard
• Completion of all legal paperwork and medical liaison
• Cremation at a local, trusted crematorium
• Ashes returned by hand within 4 weeks
Attendance
While there is no formal service or ceremony, this option offers the opportunity to attend the crematorium to witness the coffin being taken into the chapel. This is a brief and private moment, without officiants or readings, for those who wish to be present and say goodbye in person. We permit up to 10 guests to have 10 minutes in the chapel at 9am or 9:30am for a simple and quiet farewell.
If you would prefer a traditional wooden coffin, we can arrange this for an additional cost. Just let us know.
If you have any questions or special requests before completing your booking, we are here to help.
*If more than 10 mourners arrive, the crematorium may refuse the cremation to take place.
